The vision is becoming a building.

Pledges and commitments stand at 97% of the anticipated cost. The Kids Ministry Building at Fry Road is under construction with an anticipated opening in January 2027, and Jones Road breaks ground soon after.

Where NEXT stands

97.2%committed toward the anticipated $10.5 million cost

When construction costs came in $1.9 million higher than planned, 77 families extended their pledges from three years to five and closed most of the gap. Commitments, not cash in hand: pledges are paid over three to five years. Figures from the Spring 2026 update; a fall update is coming.

“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33

Why we're building

NEXT launched in 2025 with two goals. The NEXT generation: a place built for kids and students to grow in faith. And NEXT steps: spaces where people of every age can take their next step with Jesus.

It was never about buildings. It's about people, and about creating room for what God is already doing in and through this church, especially among young people and the neighborhoods around both campuses.

Two goals, three projects

The NEXT generation

Fry Road

A Kids Ministry Building designed around elementary kids' faith development, which also frees up the existing building for students and adults.

NEXT steps for every age

Jones Road

A new front door and gathering space that connects the campus, and a gym rebuilt for kids, students, and the neighborhood.

Kids Ministry Building, Fry Road

Our current building serves preschoolers, toddlers, and babies well, but not our growing number of elementary kids. This building is designed with their faith development as the priority, and it helps us reach new families in the fast-growing Bridgeland area. Moving kids here also opens room in the existing building for students and adults.

Welcome Area and Connection Space, Jones Road

A new main entrance and indoor gathering space connecting the Sanctuary Building to the Administration Building and Foundry Hall. One clear front door, room to linger, and a first impression that says you belong here. It also clarifies traffic flow for guests and young families.

Gym Renovation, Jones Road

Someone's first encounter with church may not be on a Sunday morning. A total overhaul and refresh of the gym, with new finishes, lighting, and equipment, built for kids and student ministry on Sundays and for opportunities to reach the neighborhood the rest of the week.
